Caseyville Elementary School - Renovation
Planned asbestos abatement throughout the 1935, 1948 and 1960 Buildings is completed. Asbestos pipe insulation on an existing waterline concealed above the 1953 Building corridor ceiling will be abated during the Phase III construction later this year.
Construction of 19 of the 20 roof top structures and HVAC curbs is complete.
19 of the 20 HVAC units were set on the roofs of the 1935, 1948 and 1960 Buildings.
Structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing demolition is complete.
The construction of the ADA elevator inside the 1948 Building is complete. Installation of the mechanical elevator equipment will begin in early August 2003.
Window replacement is on going and will be completed by July 31, 2003.
The construction schedule has been accelerated. It is the goal to complete Phase I and Phase II by August 15, 2003. This means that Phase III will begin on or about August 20, 2004 rather than December 1, 2003. The entire project has a very good chance of being completed by December 31, 2003.
The project is 41% complete based on the submission of Pay Application No. 3. The project has expended 33% of the contract schedule duration.
Collinsville High School - Building Additions and Renovations
The project was successfully bid on July 9, 2003.
Holland Construction Services from Swansea, Illinois was awarded the contract in the amount of $9,471,000 at the July 14th School Board Meeting.
The pre-construction meeting between Holland Construction Services and Landmark Contract Management was held on July 21, 2003.
Construction will begin before the end of July 2003.
The revised Construction Schedule requires the new cafeteria and kitchen to be completed by early August 2004. The new gymnasium and auditorium will be scheduled for completion by late December 2004 and the renovation of the existing facilities will be completed by the end of February 2005.
The new gymnasium will feature concrete tilt-up technology.
Design and selection of the necessary furniture, fixtures and equipment is on going. The target date to order all building FF & E will be no later that October 15, 2003.
Collinsville High School and Collinsville Middle School - Furnish & Install Kitchen Equipment
Bid Package No. 16 will be awarded to a Specialty Contractor who will fabricate and install the kitchen equipment at the new Middle School and at the High School.
The Bidding Documents became available on July 21, 2003.
The pre-bid meeting will be held at the Collinsville High School Cafeteria on July 31, 2003.
The bid date will be August 7, 2003.
Installation will occur at the Middle School in May and June 2004.
Installation will occur at the High School in July 2004.
The budget for both the kitchens is $1,063,558.
Collinsville Middle School
The permanent electric, potable water, sanitary sewers and storm water sewers are installed on the site.
Perimeter building foundations are complete. Interior wall foundations are on going.
Structural masonry block installation began on July 8, 2003.
Presently the project is about 5 workdays behind schedule due to weather delays in June 2003.
The project is 5% complete based on the submission of Pay Application No. 3.

Maryville Elementary School - Building Addition
Classroom cubbies (student personal storage) will be installed on July 28, 2003.
Acoustical treatments for the new gymnasium will be installed the week of August 4, 2003.
Webster Elementary School - New Building Addition
All structural masonry block is complete.
Brick veneer is approximately 55% complete. This activity will be completed the week of August 18, 2003.
All structural steel is complete.
Metal roof decking is complete.
Installation of HVAC equipment is approximately 60% complete.
Reconstruction of the new building corridors (first floor & second floor) will be complete by July 31, 2003.
Grading, retaining wall installation and concrete work in on going in the courtyard.
Design for the new parking lot off Clinton Street will be completed the week of July 28, 2003. Construction of this parking lot will begin in mid August 2003.
The building addition is on schedule and will be ready for occupancy by October 13, 2003.
Webster Elementary School - Renovation of Existing 1953 Building
Installation of replacement windows is complete.
Demolition of the chimney at the boiler building is complete.
Mechanical installation and renovation within the boiler building is complete.
Installation of HVAC piping in the building corridors and classrooms is complete. All new unit ventilators are installed. Connection of the piping to the new unit ventilators has begun.
The seven large roof top HVAC units are on site and will be set on July 21, 2003.
Specific sections of the roof will be replaced by August 1, 2003.
The new fire alarm system is approximately 90% completed.
Installation of new electrical wiring is approximately 67% complete.
Illinois Power began the installation of the new electric service. This activity should be complete by the week of August 4, 2003.
The demolition of the 1914 Building is tentatively scheduled to begin on December 5, 2003. This activity is 8 weeks ahead of schedule.
Project completion is scheduled for May 10, 2004, 4 weeks ahead of schedule.
The project is 51% complete based on the submission of Pay Application No. 5. The project has expended 26% of the contract schedule duration.
Collinsville Intermediate Center (5/6 Center) - Renovation
95% CDs are scheduled to be completed by July 28, 2003.
The Construction Bidding Documents will be available to bidders by August 11, 2003.
The tentative bid date for this project is September 11, 2003.
Collinsville Intermediate School will be phased construction similar to the contracts in place at Webster Elementary School and Caseyville Elementary School. The new building addition consisting of eight (8) classrooms will be constructed first. Phased construction will begin utilizing the new classrooms as renovation begins in eight existing classrooms on the first floor.
Due to the need to construct the new addition as quickly as possible, the new two-story classroom building will be built utilizing concrete tilt-up construction.
The present budget for both new construction and renovation is $3,282,162.
Design and selection of the necessary furniture, fixtures and equipment is on going. The target date to order all building FF & E will be no later that October 15, 2003.
Kreitner Elementary School - Renovation
The new building addition, (gymnasium and classrooms) is designed utilizing concrete tilt-up technology.
The new fire alarm system is installed and will be tested on August 6, 2003. The system will be inspected and the building occupancy permit will be issued on August 8, 2003.
The private homeowners adjacent to the school began removing his personal property from School District property. This activity will be completed by July 22, 2003.
Site drainage and earthwork necessary to eliminate the existing problems of standing water will begin on July 23, 2003. This activity is scheduled for two weeks.
The Bid Date will be no later than mid October 2003.
Construction will begin in the later part of October 2003.
Renovation activities will begin in mid April 2004 after the completion of the new building addition.
The construction budget is $2,854,770.
