Caseyville Elementary School - Renovation

• Construction Documents are near completion and will be sent to the printer on Tuesday, March 4, 2003.

• Construction Documents will be available to the public on Wednesday, March 5, 2003.

• A pre-bid meeting is scheduled on March 20, 2003 at Caseyville Elementary School cafeteria at 1:30 pm.

• The Bid Date is scheduled for April 9, 2003.

• The Construction Budget is set at $1,240,403.

• Predicated on favorable bid results, construction will begin about April 22, 2003.

Collinsville High School - Building Addition

• As of Monday, February 24, 2003, 94 sets of Construction Documents have been issued to Contractors, Subcontractors and Suppliers.

• The Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at the High School Cafeteria on February 26, 2003 at 1:00 pm

• The Bid Date is scheduled for March 13, 2003 at 2:00 pm.

• A separate Bid Package will be developed in late summer 2003 to contain both the kitchen at the High School and the kitchen at the Middle School.

• Favorable bid results will allow construction to begin at the High School in early April 2003.
  

 Collinsville Middle School - Phase 1

• Outstanding work consists of the final shaping of 5,000 bank cubic yards of non-structural earthwork and the final seeding of the site. These final work activities will require approximately 5 working days of dry weather. The completion of these activities will be finished before construction begins for the building.

• Two Change Orders were issued to L. W. Contractors. The first change was for clearing & grubbing associated with the relocated electric power routing. The second change was for the installation of additional drainage piping.

• As of February 24, 2003, no allowance money has been spent on lime modification or the replacement of unsuitable soils. This means that the Contract Allowance of $30,692.50 will be returned to the Middle School budget.

• The Final Contract Value will be adjusted to $408,493. The original contract value was $382,088.

Collinsville Middle School - Phase 2

• Construction Documents are near completion and will be sent to the printer on Monday, March 3, 2003.

• Construction Documents will be available to the public on Tuesday, March 4, 2003.

• A pre-bid meeting is scheduled on March 18, 2003 at the High School cafeteria.

• The Bid Date is scheduled for April 8, 2003.

• The Construction Budget is set at $15,573,141.

• Predicated on favorable bid results, construction will begin about May 1, 2003.

Maryville Elementary School - Building Addition

• Interior work:

• Outstanding work activities consist of the installation of restroom partitions, restroom sinks, countertops and classroom casework trim-out.

• The Punch list for the building will begin on Tuesday, February 25, 2003.

• Substantial Completion is scheduled for March 1, 2003.

• Exterior work:

• Outstanding work activities include site fine grading, site seeding, concrete walkways, concrete curbs and gutters and asphalt paving.

• Exterior work is depended on favorable weather. The duration of the remaining exterior work is approximately 3 weeks.

• The Final Building cost will be adjusted to $1,848,905. This increase of $9,905 is due to the need for additional parking in the front of the school as well as modifications to the new parking lot and driveway in the back of the school. The modifications were required by the Village of Maryville.

• The project final completion date remains set at March 31, 2003, weather permitting.
  

Webster Elementary School - Building Addition & Renovations

• The General Contractor has mobilized to the Site.

• The temporary construction fence and relocated temporary parking lot as been established.

• Work involving the new mechanical piping has begun inside the boiler building.

• Property surveys of the house lots behind the school will be completed within the next two weeks. Development of this property to best serve the school will become part of this construction program.
  

North Jr. High School (5/6 Center) - Renovation

• Schematics are 100% complete.

• The tentative bid date for this project is September 18, 2003.

• North Jr. High School will be structured similar to the Contract in place at Webster. (i.e., new construction first, relocate students, phased renovation)

• The Construction budget is $3,282,162.

Kreitner Elementary School - Renovation

• No design work has begun. The design team is awaiting the decision of the School District regarding the building addition at Kreitner. (Some renovation activities depend directly on the design of the new building addition.)

• Direction from the School District today, February 24, 2003, will allow a bid date no sooner than mid October, 2003.
