Collinsville High School - Building Additions and Renovations

Kitchen & Cafeteria

• All interior walls, partition framing and the interior finishes are on-going.

• Installation of the exterior face brick is complete.

• The new gas and electric service is installed.

• The kitchen and cafeteria areas are energized with the permanent electric service.

• The installation of specific kitchen equipment (freezers, coolers, and exhaust hood) is complete.  Installation continues with the remaining kitchen equipment.  Completion of the high school cafeteria is scheduled for the end of June 2004.

Gym

• The fire sprinkler piping is installed.

• The gym is being used as an interior storage and staging area for the ductwork, piping and electrical needs of the auditorium and corridors.

Auditorium

• Installation of face brick will be complete by the end of May 2004.

• The erection of the main structural steel is complete.

• The installation of the main roof decking is complete and the final roofing material will be installed by the end of April 2004.

• Work resumed on April 19, 2004 with the construction of additional student parking lot and site improvements at the baseball field.

• The project is 60% complete based on the submission of Pay Application No. 8.

Collinsville Middle School

• Construction of the exterior & interior masonry walls is complete except for an equipment access opening through an interior gym wall.

• The placement of the concrete floor slabs is 100% complete.

• The installation of the roof is complete except for minor trim out details.

• Exterior face brick is 79% complete.

• Electrical rough-in is 80% complete.

• Mechanical system rough-in is 79% complete.  All roof top HVAC equipment is set in place.

• Plumbing system rough-in is 88% complete.

• Finishes are on going in the Classroom Wings.  Windows are installed in both Classroom Wings.  Windows are installed in the gym and the cafeteria clerestory.

• Air conditioning will be completed in the Classroom Wings by the middle of May 2004.  The 10 main air handlers located on the roof will be systematically brought on line beginning the middle of May through the end of June 2004.  Adjustment and initial balancing of the cooling system will occur during July 2004.

• The recovery schedule is being maintained and achieved. This schedule is realistic.  Progress has improved.

• All FF & E for the building is scheduled for delivery on July 1, 2004.  Installation will occur from July 2, 2004 through August 9, 2004.

• The project is 71% complete based on the submission of Pay Application No. 12.  The project has exhausted 68% of the construction schedule.

Webster Elementary School

• Progress continues on the construction of the main entranceway and the existing canopy.  Roofing will be completed by April 23, 2004.  Windows and glass panels will be completed by April 23, 2004.  Pavement activities will be completed by May 7, 2004.

• The project will be completed by the middle of May 2004.

• Upon completion of the new kitchen at the high school, the existing central kitchen at Webster will be demolished and this area will then be renovated into a multipurpose room.  This activity is tentatively scheduled for July 2004.

• The project is 99% complete based on the submission of Pay Application No. 14. 

Collinsville Intermediate Center (5/6 Center) - Renovation

• Interior conditioning and finishes for the new addition were completed on March 18, 2004.

• The final inspection occurred on March 18, 2004.

• Installation of the elevator was completed on April 9, 2004.

• The new furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) was delivered and installed on March 19, 2004.

• The new building addition was finished on March 22, 2004.  Occupancy occurred on March 29, 2004.

• Renovation activities in the existing building (Phase 2) began on March 29, 2004.  This renovation consists of the installation of the chilled water piping and new wall unit ventilators.

• Prepatorary activities are on-going as they relate to the renovation activities of the existing building.  The majority of these activities will begin on June 2, 2004. 

• The project is 43% complete based on the submission of Pay Application No. 6.

Kreitner Elementary School - Renovation

• The final inspection of the new classroom addition occurred on April 2, 2004.

• Occupancy of this new classroom addition occurred on April 9, 2004.

• Phase 2 construction (renovation of the existing POD area began on April 12, 2004.  The demolition of this area is complete.  New construction activities began on April 16, 2004 and will continue into the summer months.

• The project is 62% complete based on the submission of Pay Application No. 6.
