Caseyville Elementary School - Renovation
The School Board on April 14, 2003 approved the proposal as submitted by L. Wolf Company on April 9, 2003.
On April 22, 2003, the pre-construction meeting was conducted between L. Wolf Company, Landmark Contract Management, AAIC and School Officials.
Between April 15, 2003 and April 22, 2003, the Collinsville School District and L. Wolf Company completed the necessary contractual documentation.
Project mobilization consisting of the construction schedule, technical submittals and hiring of subcontractors has begun.
The renovation of Caseyville Elementary School will be a challenge due to the complexity of the buildings and the construction phasing of the work scope. The key to this project is the completion of the planned work activities during the summer of 2003.
This will be a fast track project in an effort to complete the scope of work by April 2004.
Landmark Contract Management working with L. Wolf Company, AAIC and School Officials will succeed at this challenge.
Collinsville High School - Building Addition
This bid package will be re-designed in order to achieve a project within the construction budget.
This project, identified as Bid Package 13, rev 01 will be available on May 28, 2003.
The re-bid date is set as June 26, 2003.
Completion of this project will be February 2005.
Collinsville Middle School - Phase 1
Outstanding work consists of the final shaping of non-structural earthwork and the final seeding of the site. The complete scope, weather permitting, will be finished by May 7, 2003.
The scope of work as defined in Bid Package No. 11 completes the first phase of the new Middle School.
Collinsville Middle School - Phase 2
The School Board on April 14, 2003 approved the proposal as submitted by Morrissey Construction Company on April 8, 2003.
On April 21, 2003, the pre-construction meeting was conducted between Morrissey Construction Company, Landmark Contract Management, AAIC and School Officials.
Between April 15, 2003 and April 21, 2003, the Collinsville School District and Morrissey Construction Company completed the necessary contractual documentation.
Project mobilization consisting of the construction schedule, technical submittals and hiring of subcontractors has begun.
This will be a fast track project in an effort to complete the scope of work by late July 2004.
Morrissey Construction Company is a highly respected organization with a great deal of experience constructing educational facilities. Landmark Contract Management looks forward to a very successful relationship with this organization.
Maryville Elementary School - Building Addition
On April 24, 2003, the interior punch list activities were completed.
The Regional Superintendent of Schools will receive the application for the Building Occupancy Permit the week of April 28, 2003.
Outstanding exterior work activities consist of site fine grading, site seeding, concrete walkways, concrete curbs & gutters and asphalt paving. This work is scheduled for completion by May 12, 2003 weather permitting.
The project completion date will be extended to mid May 2003 due to weather conditions affecting the exterior work.
Webster Elementary School - Building Addition & Renovations
The Building Addition foundation concrete was completed on April 28, 2003.
The first course of structural masonry was installed in order to begin placement of the first level concrete floor.
All first level concrete floor will be complete by April 29, 2003, weather permitting. This activity is about two weeks behind schedule due to rain delays in March 2003.
Masonry work should begin on April 29, 2003, weather permitting.
Structural steel will arrive at the site in early May 2003.
The piping system required to heat and cool the 1953 Building is 80% installed in the lower level and 40% installed in the first level corridor.
Approximately 90% of the fire alarm wall mounted fixtures are installed through the 1953 building.
The renovation activities associated with the 1953 building are on or ahead of schedule.
The project is 6 % complete based on the submission of Pay Application No. 2.
Change orders to date will increase the contract value by approximately $27,000.
Discussions concerning cost savings (Value Engineering) continue between J.J. Wuellner and Landmark Contract Management with review and approval by School Officials.
North Jr. High School (5/6 Center) - Renovation
Schematics and Design Development is 100% complete.
DD Drawings have been submitted to school district officials (Jim Cange, Construction Liaison and John Griffith, Principal) for review and comment.
Final Construction Documents are scheduled to be available to bidders on or about August 18, 2003.
The tentative bid date for this project is September 18, 2003.
North Jr. High School will be phased construction similar to the contract in place at Webster Elementary School. (i.e., new construction first, relocate students, phased renovation)
Kreitner Elementary School - Renovation
A preliminary floor plan for the renovation and the new building addition was presented to school officials, (Dave Stroot, Principal, Jim Cange, Construction Liaison and Lannie Altenberger, Superintendent of Maintenance) on April 8, 2003. This floor plan was approved with minor changes. The preliminary plan involves changes to the existing office area, total remodeling of the “pod” area, construction of a new gymnasium, new restrooms and 8 new classrooms.
Design Development Drawings are scheduled to be submitted to school officials on or about June 13, 2003 for review and comment.
Alternate building materials and construction methods other than masonry are being investigated in an effort to reduce construction time and project cost.
The new fire alarm system is scheduled to be installed during the summer of 2003.
Availability of the Contract Documents is anticipated on or about September 15, 2003 for bidding.
The Bid Date is tentatively set for October 14, 2003.
Construction will begin in the later part of October 2003.
Renovation activities will begin in mid April 2004.
The construction budget is $2,854,770.
