November EC/Pre-K Newsletter
Thanks to all who
helped with our firehouse field trip. Thank
you to those parents who have volunteered in some way in the classroom. We have
to report attendance to the State in order to get money to fund EC/Pre-K, so
the more parent involvement we have the better!
Lastly, thanks to all the parents who attended the parent/teacher
conferences! We wouldn’t be as effective
as we are, without your help!
November 17 is Family
Reading Night. Kreitner School will
be having our annual celebration, with a fun filled evening of reading
activities. Your child will bring home a free book that day from EC/Pre-K.
Please watch for more information in the backpacks! Reading to your child is so
important in these early years.
Statistics prove that the best way to become a reader is by being read
to! Don’t forget to help your child do
their homework EVERY night, by
reading to them! Book fair will be held
the week of November 16 and open during Family Reading Night.
Reading is Fun (RIF) is a program at Kreitner School where
familiar children’s books are given to each child. Your child will probably bring home their
first RIF book soon if they haven’t already.
There will be 2 more RIF distributions throughout the school year. If the book is Stamped “Reading is Fun”, know
this is not a book you need to return, but a book your child chose themselves
during RIF. Please read it to them
often!
Just a reminder, when your child is absent, you MUST notify the
office!
