Kreitner was very honored to have
Wal-Mart name all the Kreitner teachers
as their "Teacher of the Year"!
There was a drawing, and ten teachers received $100 gift certificates
and Wal-Mart presented the entire staff with a cake.
They also provided each Kreitner student with a cupcake and juice!

Delicious food was served. Our students also visited other schools to
perform.

and was a big success!

held it's annual canned food drive to benefit the Alpha Omega Food Pantry!
Our generous students and families donated 2718 food items!
Mr. Hobbs' class donated the highest percentage of items per student.

Kindergarten and First Grade were invited to have a Western great time!
Cowboys
and Cowgirls served snacks, read stories
and danced the 2 step! Yee Haw!

Kreitner
School hosted "The Great Safety Adventure"!
It is designed to teach children about home safety in a fun and interactive
way.
A 53' tractor trailer has been transformed into Rover's House, complete with a
living room,
kitchen, backyard, bathroom and bedroom. Classes are guided through
the exhibit by a Safety Ranger, and learn how to identify dangers and seek adult
help!
The exhibit focuses on the five leading causes of injury in the home,
including falls, poisoning, choking, drowning and fire.

Kreitner
School participated in Read for the Record
on October 2, 2008,
when adults and children around the world gathered
together to break
the record for the largest shared reading experience ever.
The book read was "Corduroy" by Dan Freeman.
It was read in English and Spanish.
