CHARACTER EDUCATION

You may have noticed signs or posters in your child’s school regarding Character Education.  Character Education is a set of values that are being emphasized in our district to help students develop positive attitudes and behavior.  Social Workers, teachers and principals in each building are encouraging students to develop these values through lessons, discussions and presentations.  The foundation of the Character Education Program is the “Six Pillars of Character Education” – Respect, Responsibility, Honesty, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship.

If you would like more information on Character Education in your child’s school, please contact your school social worker, teacher or principal.
