The CHS Symphonic Band received 2 Div. II and 1 Div. I with an over-all Div. II rating!

 

The CHS Wind Ensemble received a very convincing Div. I SUPERIOR rating from all 3 judges!!!

 

Congratulations to all of the CHS Bands on their accomplishments at IHSA.

We truly are the "High School of Champions!!"

The CHS Jazz Band received a DIV. I SUPERIOR rating at the  IHSA Organizational Contest!!  CONGRATS to the CHS Jazz Students on a phenomenal performance and a well-deserved pat on the back!!!

Please check CHARMS for the updated Itinerary for the Chicago Trip (located in the 2010 Chicago Trip folder).

 

Also!  The Parade Tune will continue to be American Finale and is available on CHARMS (located in the Parade Band Music folder).  Wind musicians, please print your part and begin working.  Drum Line and Pit-Percussion will be given new parts after try-outs.

 

The 2010 Marching Band Show will be announced very soon...

Welcome back!!

It's official...

The 2010 CHS Band Trip will be to Chicago, IL 04/30-05/02!

Please keep in mind that both the Symphonic Band and the

Wind Ensemble will be competing in a concert band competition.

Plus, there are several events planned such as: The Shedd Aquarium, Willis (Sears) Tower, Millennium Park, shopping, and The Chicago Symphony LIVE and much more!

This 3-day trip will be jam packed with fun and music!!

* 2010 Winter Drum Line and Winter Guard announce their shows and rehearsals are currently underway!  Please see their newly updated pages!

 

* The Jazz Band has formed and begun rehearsals.

 

* The Band Concert was a huge success!  Thank you to all the parents that volunteered that day.  Whether it was decorating the stage, selling tickets, or working the refreshments stand.  All of your time and effort is much appreciated.  Congratulations to the Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band for an excellent Fall Concert.  We have exciting things coming on the horizon for the spring concert schedule.  Stay tuned for more information as it unfolds!
